Hole #12 - "Quarry", Par Four, 441 yards

Aptly named, the quarry hole begins with high tees that look down into the hole,
framed randomly by mature hardwoods, limestone outcroppings and a dramatic rock
wall on the right side of the landing area. From there, the fairway meanders into
a clearing, lowering gradually into a bottom surrounded by an amphitheater of grassy
hummocks and rolls.
Tee shots that find the fairway will get an extra roll from the downhill slope,
but the green is well guarded in front by a broad bunker and a small ridge at the
right opening. The green seems to plunge into a soup bowl-like landform, broken
up by strong ridges through the center. Find the correct side of the green with
the approach and the shot will likely collect toward the pin. To see this setting
at twilight is a real treat!
Hole #13 - "Arthur's Brow", Par Three, 188 yards

This mid length par three sets into the site like the pocket of an old leather Rawlings
baseball mitt...it just fits! Kind of a sister to #12, set in above the previous
hole, #13 has some of the same attributes. It is completely contained within the
surrounding landforms, high fescue grasses and knobby knolls.
Playing slightly uphill, the arced green is still visible and receptive on the right
2/3. The back left falls away gently, not unlike the much replicated "redan" hole.
This green though is not nearly as devious! A strong ridge flows into the right
front of the green and can actually gather a shot and deflect it into the green.
