"The Eagle course renovation was very rewarding from the standpoint that the Club allowed us to be creative by implementing design features that provide drama and produce memorable holes. The Club's management and Board committees were integral to the success of our efforts in the transformation of the Eagle Course."
- Brian Yoder
Principal

The Eagle Course at The Oaks Club, a private 18-hole facility just south of Sarasota, Florida recently reopened following a major Hills & Forrest International Golf Course Architects. The Eagle Course is believed to be the first layout in the country planted entirely in SeaIsle Supreme paspalum, a dense green turf that is gaining popularity because of both its playability and tolerance of salt-laden or brackish irrigation water.

New USGA greens, practice facilities, new irrigation bunkers, paths, tree removals and drainage were also part of the improvement program.

The early reaction is that the Club's goals of improving the strategy, playability, drainage, irrigation and overall maintainability have been achieved.
